About me
I am an independent 24-year-old who has recently finished a master’s degree in Arabic
English translation at the University of Leeds, having previously achieved a 2:1 bachelor’s
degree in Arabic and International Relations from Leeds as well. I know Arabic to an
advanced level, or C1 on the CEFR scale, but also have experience in French.
Resume
Through my
time on this course, I have developed my ability to work under high stress situations with
strict deadlines being set by the university; this has also given me great time management
skills. Moreover, as part of my undergraduate degree I moved to the Middle East by myself
for a total of 14 months which gave me a whole host of skills such as resourcefulness and
the ability to flourish in high stress situations.

Work Experience
- In the summer of 2024, I volunteered as an English teacher at a primary school in rural
Ghana, and gained invaluable experience in teaching English as a foreign language.
Moreover, given the remoteness of the school and the poverty in the area, I had limited
resources at my disposal. This forced me to get creative in order to provide the students
with the best learning experience I could provide, given the circumstances.
