Hey, I’m Yuzo, an online English teacher based in Zanzibar 🌴
I help students speak English clearly and confidently — for school, exams, travel, and real-life conversations.
My lessons are fun, interactive, and practical, so you’re not just memorising rules — you’re actually using English and getting better every class.
Outside the classroom I enjoy events, football/soccer, video games, music & film.

As a teacher, I’m patient, supportive, and encouraging. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable and confident, so I create a relaxed space where mistakes are part of the learning process. My goal is to help every student speak English with clarity, confidence, and enjoyment.

I hold a Bachelor in International Finance & Economics.
Work Experience
I've worked in the ESL industry since 2014. I lived and taught for over 4 years in Shanghai, and after my time there, I transitioned to teaching students from all over the world online, which I've been doing since 2018.
I’ve helped learners improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, while building confidence and fluency. My experience allows me to adapt lessons to each student’s needs and learning style.
Certifications
I hold a 120-hour TEFL certification.
